  3.     Kitchen Assistant/2 Beta Version Information

  7. If this is a beta version release, when you call up the Product Information
  8. window, you will see the ***Beta Version***, followed by a valid to date.
  9.  
  10. The beta version will act as if it is a registered version until the valid
  11. date is reached.  At that time it will become a unregistered version and 
  12. the "nag" screen will be active.  An unregistered version of Kitchen
  13. Assistant/2 is not crippled other than the "nag" screen which will be
  14. displayed when you start up the program.  Registering the program will
  15. remove the "nag" screen.

  18.     BETA REGISTRATION

  20. I ask that you that the time to register you copy of the beta version.  
  21. It cost nothing.  At the end of the beta period your copy will still 
  22. revert to a unregistered version.

  24. You may ask why should I bother?  Here are the reason:
  25.  
  26.    1: I will have some idea as to the interest in Kitchen Assistant/2.
  27.    2: You will qualify for a discount on the registration of the GA
  28.       (General Availability) release when it becomes available.
  29.    3: You receive notification when the GA release is available.
  30.  
  31. You can Register a beta version only if the Product Information window
  32. displays the words ***Beta Version*** and a date.  If this does not appear
  33. in the window the Beta date has expired.

  35. Whether or not you register your copy I ask that you report any problems
  36. you find with Kitchen Assistant/2 or make suggestions on changes or
  37. features would like to see in Kitchen Assistant/2.
